LASER Therapy

Albert Einstein first proposed the theory of laser radiation, but it was many decades before the first working laser was fired. A virtual revolution of laser for surgical application began and benefits emerged: their therapeutic effects were clear when applied at low power intensity. It was discovered that irradiation of tissue with low dose levels using a ruby laser (red light) resulted in an increased rate of healing.

The new science of Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) developed, and it will be referred to as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).

Through research and development Omega has developed lasers for treating an increasing range of conditions from tissue repair and wound care to pain relief. These emphasize the importance of specific wavelength, dosage and pulsing frequencies in treatment.
